Jason has been taking photos for many years now, both analog and digital, and started sharing them with the world fairly recently.
In his photos generally he tries to capture that which cannot be captured, which is to say, the transcendent. He finds this much more of an intuitive than rational process.
Some have appeared in literary and art magazines and a few galleries to date, including The Brooklyn Review, The Montreal Review, The Cardiff Review, The Amsterdam Quarterly, The Museum of Americana, The Ilanot Review, L’Esprit Literary, The Amsterdam Review, F-STOP Magazine, LensCulture Online, Feature Shoot, Optiko Journal, The American Center for Photographers, Ephemere Gallery Tokyo, and the Ello homepage.
A debut photobook, titled Which Cannot Be Seen, is out in Winter 2026 from 89Books Italy.
When he is able to take advantage of all the copious time he has, Jason will be making a dedicated photo website, as well as putting together selections for a second photography book, based on a long-running series on a kitschy spooky strip mall of antiquated mannequins and other oddities.
For the time being, you can see some of his photos on his Instagram or FOTO pages.
